Bio:

Jon(E)ric aka Sindrone, born and raised in Detroit, had his first taste of electronic dance music listening to radio DJ mix shows in the mid 80’s. Shortly after graduating high school in ’93, Jon(E)ric attended his first underground parties at “1315 Broadway” and “The Packard”, which would change his musical tastes forever. His love for techno music deepened while attending numerous underground events at Saint Andrews, Motor, Under the Bridge and the infamous “Theater”. This techno/house DJ is truly a product of his environment.

Sindrone picked up his first pair of decks in ’98 after studying and rockin’ out to jocks like Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, DJ Bone, Mike Huckaby, Twonz, the Poorboy Crew, Terry Mullan and Traxx. You can hear these influences in his set and cross-genre spinning is a must. After attending Toronto’s “Phryl” parties in the late 90’s and witnessing “Swedish Techno” from artists like Christian Smith, Joel Mull and Adam Beyer, his taste and style quickly evolved, but never leaving the Detroit sound out of the mix.

While living in Detroit, Jon(E)ric played alongside some of the finest jocks in the business including, Twonz (Hijacked Records), T. Linder (Detroit Techno Militia), John Johr (Paxahau), Matt Clarke (Sub-Culture) Mike Huckaby (SYNTH) , Suburban Knight (UR), T-1000 and Traxx. He is also known for throwing the legendary “Cave” basement parties at his Warren, MI home.

Fast forward to 2003, Jon(E)ric left his Detroit roots and moved to Austin, TX . Since living in Austin, he has hosted several parties that included artists such as – Traxx, Mystic Bill, Patrik Skoog aka Agaric, Matthew Dear, Punisher, Derek Plaslaiko, Maetrik, Convextion, Craig Kuna, Alexander East and John Johr. After stumbling upon an Austin techno website he noticed an old line-up that included Steel Grooves | Austin, TX and Patrik Skoog of Headroom. This connection led to Jon(E)ric joining forces and throwing one off parties with the Capital Techno Crew.

Currently you can catch Jon(E)ric playing and throwing parties under “U Funktion” and “Capital Techno”. He is currently charting artist such as, Ben Sims, Adam Beyer, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Kirk Degiorgio, Carl Craig, Deepchild and Cari Lekebusch .
